On Tour with Walter Trout

I first met Walter Trout in Oklahoma, at a Blues festival, while on tour with Joe Louis Walker. Walter has a natural ease with people. I felt immediately comfortable in his presence.

We reconnected a few years later at Carnegie Hall, where we both performed on the Lead Belly Fest. I was struggling with the pressures of that show and Walter was so supportive. I will always remember his words of encouragement and praise.

Walter and I began to talk about a collaboration for my debut album. The discussions led us to the song, "Work No More," a heartfelt tribute Walter wrote for a special woman named Irene, who was like a second mother to him. We re-recorded the song, which ended up being featured on A Force of Nature with Walter's stunning guitar work.

Having the opportunity to support Walter and his band on their UK tour is a privilege and a chance for me to share with my fellow Walter Trout fans the admiration, respect, and gratitude I have for this iconic American Blues master.
