New album for 2025.

Sari has been hard at work on a new album with her longtime writing partner and producer, Henning Gehrke (Udo Lindenberg). Set for release this fall, the album promises to deliver something truly special. Here are just a few standout moments from this highly anticipated release.

Music.

Robin Trower and Sari Schor joined forces to record the critically acclaimed #1 Billboard Blues album Joyful Sky. Always receptive to singers who can elevate his emotive guitar touch, Robin heard a quality in the smoky power of the acclaimed New Yorker that made him want to tear down and rebuild his songcraft around her.

“I’ve worked with some great vocalists over the years, but Sari is dynamite, just an absolute knockout,” reflects Trower. Working with Sari Schorr and her expressive vocal range has inspired me to write a new album just for her voice."

The New Revolution honors Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his dream to advance civil rights through nonviolence. I'm grateful that Dr. King's work continues today through the Black Lives Matter movement. It's time to acknowledge the struggle endured by Black Americans throughout our nation’s history and honor the legacies of the Civil Rights trailblazers who fought for a better America.

Recorded at blues'n'jazz Rapperswil-Jona 2019 here is Sari Schorr's take on Willie Dixon's, "I Just Want to Make Love to You" taken from the new album 'Live in Europe.' The breathtaking 12-track live album features highlights from shows in London, Suffolk and Rapperswil, Switzerland.

Bio.

Chart-topping and a New York Blues Hall of Fame inductee, Sari Schorr burst onto the Blues-Rock scene with her critically acclaimed debut album, A Force of Nature, produced by legendary British Blues pioneer Mike Vernon (think David Bowie, Eric Clapton, John Mayall, and Fleetwood Mac). She further solidified her impact with a #1 album in collaboration with guitar legend Robin Trower.

From the gritty stages of the South Bronx and Manhattan’s Lower East Side to a memorable Carnegie Hall performance, Sari's journey is all about defying the odds and staying true to her roots. Beyond her dynamic music, she passionately champions humanitarian causes—most notably with her “Toast to Freedom” for Amnesty International alongside Warren Haynes, Keb Mo', Taj Mahal, Eric Burdon, and Carly Simon—and has lent her voice to projects in Haiti and India through her non-profit, Matters.

When not rocking the stage, Sari is a long-distance cyclist, marathon runner, and devoted animal rights activist, currently calling Brooklyn home with her husband and rescued pit bull Prudence.

“Sari is an absolute knockout! I’ve worked with some great vocalists over the years, but working with Sari Schorr and her expressive vocal range has inspired me to write a new album just for her voice.”

— Robin Trower

“Her gently frayed mezzo, at times reminiscent of Janis Joplin, packs quite a punch. And, like Joplin, she’s not afraid to push her voice to lung-bursting limits…With charismatic vocals set against hard-driving blues-rock, Sari Schorr’s A Force of Nature is exactly that…the blues world at large—should take note."

— Living Blues

“The evening had everything, head-spinnig blues rock vocals, jazzy and soulful vocals…underpinned by a tight rhythm section. Soaked with influences from the great pioneers of the blues…Beth Hart & Robert Plant style vocals with the energy and stage command of Tina Turner.”

— MNPR Magazine

“What separates Schorr from other singers is her intensity, which makes it feel like every note she sings might be her last one."

— Blues Rock Review

“First things first, Sari Schorr is incredible. Let’s get it straight."

— Maximum Volume Music

“Schorr can sing ‘em. All husk and muscle, the operatically trained New Yorker makes you believe every stormy line of this game-changing album”

— Classic Rock Magazine

“A lot of buzz has surrounded Sari Schorr since she first stepped foot in the UK. Her debut album was the highest new entry in the Official Jazz & Blues Albums Chart Top 30 this week. It is no surprise, given her rapid rise in popularity.”

— National Rock Review

“Sari Schorr has a voice like no other—powerful, deeply soulful, with rich texture and a 5-octave range, Schorr has captivated fans around the world.”

— Rock and Blues Muse

One of the most affecting voices of the 21st century. Schorr’s position at the forefront of the new blues rock revolution is undisputed.”

Rush On Rock

“When Sari Schorr named her debut album, she practically wrote her own press: recorded or live, Sari truly is A Force Of Nature, an unstoppable tsunami that has stormed across the blues/rock world, leaving a trail of shell-shocked cities in her wake.”

— Blues In Britain

“A future of potential and possibilities has opened up in front of Sari Schorr with this new album and her live shows are becoming unmissable events.”

Powerplay
